Emanuel
Foucault

Shaped by a childhood of frequent moves, Emanuel Foucault was exposed to a wide range of cultures and people, sparking a deep curiosity about how the stories we tell ourselves shape our lives. His background in classical music, political science, and theater studies led him to film as the ideal medium for telling multifaceted stories.
As a director, producer, and editor, Emanuel blends these influences to explore the intersection of nature, history, and the human experience. For over a decade, he supported his filmmaking career through tree planting—an experience that inspired his short film Day 3, which premiered at the Victoria Film Festival.
Emanuel’s debut short film, Washer, screened at the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival. Currently based in British Columbia, he is producing the feature film Lucid, directed by Deanna Milligan and Ramsey Fendall.
